Description
I want this book to empower you to write feedback that parents will want to read. And you’ll pick up some tidbits on Chinese culture along the way.
After covering the principles I use to write useful feedback, I show you samples of how I word feedback in specific situations. I hope that this info will help you find your own unique voice and leave feedback that is useful, realistic, and inspiring. When you deliver an AMAZING experience both in the classroom and in the feedback box, parents tend to reciprocate with rave reviews.
I also have an Expanded Edition of this book, available here!

Ed’s book is a great resource for writing concise and informational feedback that is of value to the parent (the REAL client!). What was most helpful to me as a VIPKID teacher just starting my 2nd contract is the specific examples of what to say in response to common issues English language learners face. Ed’s books costs just one class, and it will help you earn so much more in re-bookings. Thank you, Ed, for taking the time to provide this valuable resource!

I can not say enough about how much this book has helped me. Yes, it did help me create much more personal and useful feedback for my students parents, but more importantly it helped me in my classroom. I found that reading the sample feedback really helped me focus in on important areas of teaching in my classroom. Without a doubt this book has not only helped my write amazing (even if I say so myself) feedback. but has made me a better teacher.Thank you Ed Nace!

Excellent resource! Before this book, I used to write very detailed feedback to the parents of the things we did in class, the strengths, and the things I would like them to practice; however, after reading Ed’s book, I learned to implement some awesome techniques and change my thinking about how to craft better and more helpful feedback! His book has also given me additional techniques to add to my overall classroom experience as well! I appreciate his insight and hard work to help the VIPkid community.

I wanted to make sure I wasn’t wasting my time writing feedback that parents weren’t going to read so I got and read the book. I have to say I totally changed from telling them what I did and what the student learned in each lesson to why I was teaching the way I was. I saw a huge change in my ratings. Not only did I get more but more importantly I got more and more comments. And really new parents want to see comments about my teaching style not just ratings. Thank you Ed for showing me a better way and giving me the tools to write feedback for a parent of another culture. I appreciate it.

This has not only improved the feedback I give and receive. But it has also helped improve my teaching over all. Great investment!

This is an absolutely amazing resource to have. I am a new teacher and parent feedback was taking me forever (almost another part time job). As a parent myself, each time I left feedback I was thinking it was too much and didn’t really give the parents the bottom line about their student’s progress. But I continued because I didn’t know how to write feedback differently. I was following a lot of the other teacher templates and then tweaking them for my students. But as a parent with kids in school I would not want to read all the ‘filler’ information I was giving. Parents are busy and don’t have time for all of it. Now, after reading Ed’s book I am able to give better feedback, more personalized and straight to the point. Love the book! Thank you Ed….from a semi-Newbie, now with 318 classes and 318 parent feedbacks!

I used to tell parents what I had taught their child in class that day. It didn’t feel very personal, yet I didn’t know how to change it. Then along came Ed’s book, Loud and Clear, Now I tell parents WHY I do what I do, as well as specifics about their child. This book has helped me tremendously! I highly recommend it.
