Description
I want this book to empower you to write feedback that parents will want to read. And you’ll pick up some tidbits on Chinese culture along the way.
After covering the principles I use to write useful feedback, I show you samples of how I word feedback in specific situations. I hope that this info will help you find your own unique voice and leave feedback that is useful, realistic, and inspiring. When you deliver an AMAZING experience both in the classroom and in the feedback box, parents tend to reciprocate with rave reviews.
I also have an Expanded Edition of this book, available here!

5 Stars!! Get the book– as has already been said. It will help with feedback and save time and stress. It also has helped me to be more careful about what I say and how I say it, without the stress! Thank you so much!
Kaitlin Glasgow –

Thanks a million, Ed! You’ve opened my eyes to the importance of concise, well-written, constructive feedback and the positive effect it can have on caring parents. Your multiple years of experience and consequential helpful advice have bridged yet one more communication gap between teachers and parents in our attempt to overcome language barriers. Now we can be sure that our young learners are being encouraged and their parents are clearly informed of their child’s educational progress with each lesson.

A valuable resource is if you are looking to increase your rating! Once I implemented these strategies, I started receiving more feedback from parents! 5 apples with comments! Woohoo!

This book is an excellent resource. Since reading the expanded edition, my feedback rate has started to rise. I began writing more meaningful feedback and the parents noticed. I have noticed I have more regulars and that they book me more frequently. There are excellent examples of feedback and more importantly, advice from someone who understands Chinese culture. His facebook group, VIPKID – Chinese say what?? is also awesome. It is helpful to get accurate translations of feedback and random things kids write during class. The group also provides cultural observations. Thanks, Ed!

Get the book. Seriously. I refer to it daily before I write my parent feedback. It has helped me become a much more thoughtful teacher and communicator. Ed, you rock!
