Description
I want this book to empower you to write feedback that parents will want to read. And you’ll pick up some tidbits on Chinese culture along the way.
After covering the principles I use to write useful feedback, I show you samples of how I word feedback in specific situations. I hope that this info will help you find your own unique voice and leave feedback that is useful, realistic, and inspiring. When you deliver an AMAZING experience both in the classroom and in the feedback box, parents tend to reciprocate with rave reviews.
I also have an Expanded Edition of this book, available here!

I’m a new online ESL teacher with just 6 classes completed. I struggled through the feedback on my first two classes, and even tried asking for 5 apples, but no luck. On my third class, I used the techniques from Ed’s ebook. It felt good to write it because it was authentic and meaningful. I felt like I was truly speaking to the parents and providing value to them. I focused on the child and didn’t ask for apples. The result was my first 5 apples with a thank you from the parent! Then another one! I have not even finished reading the book yet, and it’s already paying off. Without a doubt, this book will pay for itself and more! If you’re reading this review then you NEED this book! I’ll be upgrading to the expanded version soon!

This book was very helpful to me as an online English teacher. I have learned better ways to give appropriate feedback and what feedback is not helpful to parents. I have definitely changed my feedback as a result.

If you are an online ESL teacher, you must purchase this book! It’s a no-brainer. I thought I was on top of my game before… Ed’s book granted me a fresh new perspective both in the classroom and in my feedback. It has been less than two weeks, and I have already seen a huge uptick in my feedback rate. Crazy thing is, I’ve stopped asking for apples, yet I’m getting more. My feedback is now more personalized and genuine. Thank you Ed!

I recommend buying this book. Nace also has an expanded version, but if you’re not sure yet if it would be worth some money, buy this. You will get an idea of how his cultural insights and understanding about teaching English to Chinese children will help you build your own business. I highly recommend this book!

This book is full of useful information and worth every penny. You don’t have to be a new teacher to benefit. I applied Ed’s information and tips to change my communication with parents. My feedback rate is higher than it has ever been and I feel a deeper connection with my students and parents. Excellent tips.
