Description
I want this book to empower you to write feedback that parents will want to read. And you’ll pick up some tidbits on Chinese culture along the way.
After covering the principles I use to write useful feedback, I show you samples of how I word feedback in specific situations. I hope that this info will help you find your own unique voice and leave feedback that is useful, realistic, and inspiring. When you deliver an AMAZING experience both in the classroom and in the feedback box, parents tend to reciprocate with rave reviews.
I also have an Expanded Edition of this book, available here!

I read your book in one sitting as soon as I received it. I greatly value knowing what Chinese parents are looking for in the teaching their students are receiving and what they are looking to know in feedback. When I started almost 2 months ago, everything I read focused on either 1) creating templates to save time and 2) making sure feedback included the lesson content and how the student performed. This never made sense to me because as a parent, I know that all that information was already available by looking at the slides or watching the playback. Why would I need or want that information repeated? Instead, I would value feedback that would concentrate on the teachers expertise with the language and HOW and WHY they were using that expertise to teach my child. I am glad to learn that Chinese parents want the same. Since reading your book, I have felt free to follow my instincts and provide kind, sincere, honest and direct feedback to the parent that is personalized to the individual student as a whole person, not just a performer.
Interestingly enough, while all the feedback I have received since becoming a teacher has been 5, I didn’t get feedback very often. Since following your recommendations, I have more regular feedback with highest marks.
Thank you for your insight and for providing many relevant examples. I look forward to reading your other materials.
